Privacy Policy

ClayKeep stores your ceramics library locally on your device. This may include pieces, glaze information, inspiration, moodboards, notes, tags, links, and photos you choose to add. You do not need an account to use ClayKeep.

We do not receive or store this library content on our servers merely because you use the app. Backups are created or exported only when you choose to do so, and you control where an exported copy is saved or shared.

Deleting the app generally removes information stored in its local containers. Copies you previously exported or shared remain wherever you placed them until you delete those copies separately.

Product analytics are off by default. If you choose to enable them in Settings, ClayKeep sends a limited set of events to PostHog, our analytics service provider. These events may include app launches, returns to the foreground, views of primary screens, feature-visibility changes, onboarding completion, and your choice to enable analytics.

Analytics may also include the event time, one-time event identifiers, app version and build, device type, operating-system version, and a random installation identifier. ClayKeep does not include your pottery records, notes, tags, links, photos, or backups in analytics events.

Analytics help us understand which features are useful and improve the app. They are not used for targeted advertising. You can stop new analytics events at any time by turning the setting off.

When you deliberately submit feedback from ClayKeep, we collect the category, summary, and details you provide. You may optionally include an email address so we can respond.

A submission also includes limited app and device context, its submission time, and a random installation identifier that helps us associate related reports. ClayKeep sends this information only after you tap Submit. Direct emails to us contain whatever information you choose to include.

ClayKeep requests camera or photo-library access so you can add images to pieces, your glaze shelf, inspiration, or moodboards. Selected images are stored locally and are not uploaded to us for analytics.

ClayKeep reads an image or link from the clipboard only when you choose a paste action. The share extension processes items you explicitly share with ClayKeep. File access supports backup and recovery actions you initiate.

If you open a saved external link inside ClayKeep, the website you selected may receive ordinary web-request information and will handle it under its own privacy practices.

Information collected by ClayKeep is used to:

• provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the app;
• understand feature adoption and improve usability;
• respond to feedback and support requests;
• prevent misuse and protect our services; and
• comply with applicable law and protect our rights.

We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or share it with data brokers.

PostHog receives and processes optional product-analytics events and feedback submissions on our behalf. We require service providers that access information to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process limited technical information such as IP addresses, request timing, browser type, and requested pages to deliver and protect the site.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users or others, investigate abuse, or complete a business reorganization subject to this policy.

We retain product-analytics information for no longer than 12 months and feedback or support information for no longer than 24 months, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to resolve a support matter, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.

Local library data remains on your device until you delete the relevant content or delete the app. To request deletion of analytics, feedback, or support information held by us or our service providers, email hello@claykeep.app. Include the analytics identifier shown in ClayKeep's Settings, if available, so we can locate pseudonymous information associated with that installation.

You can:

• enable or disable product analytics in ClayKeep's Settings;
• decline to provide an email address with feedback;
• change camera and photo-library permissions in iOS Settings;
• delete locally stored content or delete the app; and
• contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

Privacy rights vary by location. We may need to verify a request before completing it, and you may have the right to appeal our response or complain to your local data-protection authority.

Apple may process information relating to App Store downloads, diagnostics, and app usage according to your device settings and Apple's own privacy policies. Information Apple processes independently is governed by Apple's policies, not this one.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

ClayKeep is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where we or they operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

We may update this policy as ClayKeep or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
